This is against the concept of fair barter and trade my friend do your own research it is available here on the site but it is not meant for appraisals for buying purposes.

If made todY there both over $800 guns so as milsurps there well worth it made with quality materials if you dont rust the deal walk away or barter the prices yourself. Sometimes laying hands on an item and being able to inspect it is worth the extra money.

Yea. It's a bolt on brake. I have a picture of the muzzle without the brake on it. I'm just looking for opinions on the firearm, I already know what they're going for, just wanted to know what you guys thought of their worth in your own personal opinions.

I think it should be mandatory for every PAL holding Canadian citizen to have at least 1 SKS, so that is my choice :)
I would be in the $200 range...

I am not but were i the owner looking at the pictures

I would not sell the sks for less than $320 in the current market if it matches and 280 if not. It's a nice looking SKS. The Mosin is worth at least $550 in the current open market if it matches ..if not then about 450 still.

The 1955 sks is refurbed.

Hardwood handguard with laminate stock. Original condition would be both hardwood or both laminate. The mix is a sign of at least some refurbishment.

But 1955 is an uncommon date for the sks and a worthy pick up.

Mosin?. Meh. Pass.

Seriously?

These kinds of questions are posted literally EVERY DAY on this and other surplus forums.

Where you been?

^They are both refurbs from what I can see. you should have posted a photo of the other side of the sks stock . I didn't see any stamps around the cross bolt . as far as I know they started to use the laminated stocks in 1955 on the sks rifles. I have also seen an sks with a hardwood hand guard on a later sks and was told by a very reputable dealer on here it was put on the sks at the factory . as for the Nagant it looks like a nice one but I would get rid of that muzzle brake . not original . $450 to $500 for the Nagant and $350 for the sks is it's all matching . check out the hand guard and see if it has the same number on it as the receiver. you will shoot the sks more than the Nagant . good luck in your choice. sorry I just went back to the photo and I thought to myself the stock on that sks should be a nice Red colour and it isn't . correct me if I'm wrong . the price just went down to $275.

Well, if you don't buy them both at $275. And $400. ( if that is the price) or lower,, PM me the sellers info and I will take them! someone said $200.,, I will take 20, 1955 Russian sks for that price, can't even get a ratty old Chinese sks for that much these days. So if the price is as above,, buy both and be happy!

Because they eventually turn into solicitation threads with members offering to pay this and that for this and that and asking for the sellers contact info.
