Sorry if this has been asked before, but my frustration levels are going through the roof. I slapped an archangel stock on an SKS about a year ago, and just took it out shooting for the first time last week. Problem is the trigger assembly pin has gotten so stiff I can't manage to pop it out. I remember it being pretty stiff when I was installing the stock, but it seems over the year its gotten rock solid. I've tried pushing it in from all angles, even banging it with a punch and mallet and can't seem to get the thing to budge. The pin is so banged up now there is not much material left. The pistol grip on the archangel stock makes it impossible to put pressure on the pin from proper 45 degree angle.
I'm seriously considering drilling a hole through the pistol grip so I can attack the pin from the right angle, but I'm a little worried it might too adversely compromise the stocks' rigidity. Regardless, I think when I get the stock off, I'll dremel off the back plastic so I can do a regular field-strip on the gun without going through this hell again.
Anyone have any tips on how to get the trigger assembly out with these stocks?
Thanks,
