SKS Barrel # question.

Hi All,

I am looking at a very nice SKS from Westrifle, and the barrel is stamped a #2 (front base on the front sight). I am wondering if it's worthwhile to find one with a #1 stamp on it?

Any feed back would be tremendously appreciated, and apologies in advence if this has been asked before, or hashed to death... I didn't find it on search

I don't think it means anything. The only way to find out for sure would be to interview a guy who worked at the arsenal and did the refurbs.
