I'm looking too buy my first rifle an Chinese sks and use a tapco stock. But I don't like the spike bayonet. Does anyone know where I can purchase separately a blade bayonet or a norinco that has one already?

I really would not like to bubba Russian sks.

Check this page before you throw money at the problem:
http://yooperj.com/SKS.htm
Check pages 4 and 19. Ensure that whichever bayonet you buy has the correct type shape of bayonet lugs to support/lock in your bayonet itself or you'll end up with sloppy, loose fitting, limp #### SKS baynoet syndrome once installed.
I learned this the hard way.....then I found the yooperjsks page V:I:
Do yourself a favour and read through that page. It is a wealth of information on every SKS out there.

A blade bayo will not fit where a spike was designed to go. You have to make a bunch of modifications to fit. it would be cheaper and easier to just buy a Russian SKS.

A blade will fit but the front ferrule stock will need to be notched so the blade will fold completely. Also, only the blade is needed, not the handle. Of course buying a russian sks is the easy way to go.
