Hi,

I misplaced bolt and bolt carrier assemblies of my SKS (Izhevsk 1954 production) and considering to get replacement parts.
Unfortunately, only made in China parts are available (at least from the internet store in B.C.).
I suppose that these parts would fit to my SKS (they are from the latest SKS model), but.
1. Anyone has experience with these kind of replacement parts?
2. Chinese made, not "real military grade" quality - is it good enough?
3. Maybe, better simply go to a gunsmith? Then, perhaps, it would be even cheaper to buy another SKS rifle?

TIA

Russia gave their sks tooling to the Chinese when the Russians changed to the ak47, so parts should swap between them without issue...

How do you loose these though!? Lol

I gotta ask, how did you go about misplacing the entire bolt assembly for a semi auto rifle?
It was my safety paranoia attack (I decided to keep these parts separately from the rifle). :-(
I presume that they are still somewhere inside my house and I will find them the day after I receive replacement parts.

Hey there, you have an Izhevsk! Take some time and go looking for those parts, you hid them in some safe place that no one would
look in, and you have now forgotten where but it will be worth the effort to keep this Izzy whole. The Izzy is the important thing.

Geez man, see the trouble you would have saved if you only had a $3 cable lock to run through the open action?
Here's hoping you find it. It'll pop up when you least expect it. They always do.
