SKS bolt carrier

Ok so I'm doing an SKS build and I'm looking for a bolt carrier from an Albainian SKS or something similar to the "hooked" style handle. I've been all over the net but can't find one. I know Tapco and a couple other companies make vertical handles but I'd like to use the hook style if I can find one. Does anyone know where to get something like this or am I fishing in an empty lake?

Empty lake my friend. I made one a couple years ago. If you can weld and fabricate you're all set. If not a good welder should be able to fix you up.

I agree with the empty lake. I made up this one
using 3/8" steel cut and formed using a Dremel tool.
Mig welded and polished.

Nice work Esque, mine looked similar except I cold blued it after. I should still have pics on photobucket but I'm too tired to dig through them right now.

The polished look is OK, it's blued now.

The silver on the sks always seemed to look kind of odd and out of place to me, blued would look a lot better IMO.

Back when neitarms was around, they made me one out of the sks bolt carrier. Metal was very porous and the end result wasn't great. But it was free!
They had much better luck doing it to vz58 handles iirc.
