So after almost having a heart attack after I thought Canada Post lost my MO payment, My SKS and Ammo is on the way from Frontier. I forgot to ask for one with a decent bore. Since they are all refurbs, do I have to worry about a worn bore on it? Its a 1954, and I asked for a chrome one. I am just a little paranoid...OK really paranoid.

Every Russian Arsenal Refurbished SKS I have ever owned has been a good shooter. Who cares if it has forced matched serial numbers. Even if it's not a chrome barrel who cares, if it's a 1954 it will most likely be chrome. I have never bought a SKS through mail order so you would not have any input on the stock condition...who cares, if you don't like it refinish it yourself or upgrade it. I just got my 5th SKS from lever and it has turn out to be the best shooter out of the box I have ever had. Hit a 8 inch gong at 200 meters 3 out of 5 times. Relax...you will be happy..............

I haven't heard of any issues with the refurbs.
My refurb shoots better than a norinco sks, and sks-d, that my friends have.

I've heard from a few shops selling them that they haven't seen any bad ones in the recent shipments either. I wouldn't really worry.
