I recently built a couple of SKS's for the Boss (aka Wife) and myself.

My Wife is super competitive, so we Trap shoot in the summer, and these to beasts are going to be for marksmanship competition between us, I even got some software to score the targets hee hee.

I bought them with the Idea of interchangeability, I am planning a couple of long range rifles so the scopes would suffice for that as well.

The guy on ebay gave me a deal as they were his last two and I thought the Powered zoom feature was really cool.

not a huge fan of the tactical SKS, but i applaud your correct choice of quicky rails for the optics. the dust cover replacement optics rails require a face palm when bought....

I am interested to see the targets from the competition though ...

I did the face palm purchase, and realized my mistake and returned them when I discovered that I would have to do a pile of filing just to get a substandard rail to fit.

I just didn't do enough reading before impulse buying.

There is really no logic behind installing a scope when you can never trust the zero after the first shot.

These were built for me and the ol lady to prove who is the better shot, there can be no variables.

Even got some software so I can scan the targets and have an impartial software program calculate our results.

That is also why I didn't go for the bayonet lug bipod, I didn't want anything attached to the barrel to affect the resonance.

I am looking for a option to replace the Lug and front sight with a ???Brake??? ???Flash suppressor??? Or what have you???

Wartak Skar SD rail, good choice. I have one on my sks and it is awesome!
