Yep, every week or so lol. I strongly recommend fiddling with the search function here a bit. It seems to be getting better, just remember to include older posts in the search (in the advanced search settings, default is only a week I believe) Oh and welcome :D

I am going to be the richest man in the world once I patent my device to stab people in the face through the internet.

Bullpup conversions are prohibited in Canada. Has it been three days already? Is it time for a new SKS Bullpup thread? Can you use a Bullpup SKS to defend yourself against Government Zombie Bears?

There should be a thread sticked on Newbie FAQs with a list of questions not to ask... Bullpups would be at the top of it. Speaking of which, they even have a Bullpup thread running over in Main Battle Rifles if anyone wants to see more threads about Bullpups... :nest:

Why you guys just don't put it plain and simple. Bull pups are illegal in Canada unless it is factory made stock. You mustn't convert regular factory made registered stock to bull-pup whatsoever. Period.

Regulations Prescribing Certain Firearms and other Weapons, Components and Parts of Weapons, Accessories, Cartridge Magazines, Ammunition and Projectiles as Prohibited or Restricted (SOR/98-462)
Enabling Statute: Criminal Code

PART 4
PROHIBITED DEVICES
Former Prohibited Weapons Order, No. 9

2. Any rifle, shotgun or carbine stock of the type known as the “bull-pup” design, being a stock that, when combined with a firearm, reduces the overall length of the firearm such that a substantial part of the reloading action or the magazine-well is located behind the trigger of the firearm when it is held in the normal firing position.

The exception is if the bullpup stock is the firearm. In Canada, the reciever is the firearm. If the bullpup stock replaces the current SKS reciever with a reciever built in or permanently attached to the stock, you are ok. Unfortunately, no one makes such a conversion.

Because what you just wrote is wrong.

Factory bullpups = legal. Tavor, for example.

Bullpup conversions = illegal.

Umm not exactly, if the firearm is bullpup and cannot not function without the stock, then it is legal.
If the rifle can function without the stock then the stock is prohib.
So you can still have a prohib factory bullpup.

What shootemup said.

EVUL bullpup shooting defenceless citizens. WHY are gun laws passed by politicians who know NOTHING about guns?:jerkit:

While I am at it, WHY is a short barrel on a handgun more EVUL than a longer one?
