Does anyone know of a gun shop that stocks butt extenders for SKS rifles? I'm looking for the one that is rubber, about an inch thick and attaches over the steel butt plate using the same screws that hold on the steel butt plate.

i have one but need a few more of those .
 
I bought a 1'' rubber butt pad from SKSman in the States. I also have a 2'' one that I think i got from P&D, but I can't remember for sure. They both fit really well on my Norinco :) They are really freakin' short guns though, lol.

most SKS are built to the original russian SKS standard , except for yugo M59/66 which added a pad . according to calum , the short stock has something to do with heavy layers of winter clothing . make sense to me cos the VZ58 has the same short stock .
 
I always thought the norinco guns were so short cause they were built for little chinese men, haha. Acutally the reason i got rid of the 2'' pad and replaced with the 1'' pad was cause of all the layers of clothes i was wearing while hunting.
