I apologize if I'm doing anything wrong, it's my first thread :d
I wanted to know if anyone knows if these Mags have ever made it into Canada (pinned of course)
I'd like to get one for my SKS, for mere aesthetic reasons. I've seen some on Gunbroker down south, they are far and few inbetween, and importing is
possible, but complicated and expensive. If anyone knows about these, where to get them, or even wants to part with one, get in touch with me

PS:I know this is a long shot, but you guys are my only hope

Here's a Picture of it, give or take the Star on it.

These were made for the US commercial market. I don't believe Lever Arms carried them and as they were the importer of the Commercial Chinese SKS, it's unlikely these were ever brought it, especially after 1992-1994.

Dang, that's not the kind of answer I was hoping for :(

I'm guessing Gunbroker is my last option then, except all the importers have their panties in a bunch about the China Arms Embargo, barring the US to export Chinese made Products into other countries. :bsFlag:

Red Star 20 rd mags were jammamatics.........there was a better version just stamped made in China before the US import ban..........Harold

Had one, its was a complete POS that kept jamming. This brings me way back to when I first got into guns and thought pimping out an SKS was cool...lol...

Everytime I see my old SKS pictures I want to actually throw up...lol...

Hi, I'm Jake, and I want to talk to you today about abandoned milsurps

I used to be like you, and judged all my guns by how tough they made me look when I drank, and pointed them at myself in the mirror. Then I found a book. Turns out, inside the book were words, and those words told a story. Some of those stories were about wars, men, and the guns they carried- in fact, the guns had stories of their own!

I began to realise, that those guns I was stripping down and tarting up, had stories too, and that the way they came to me, originally, told some of those stories. From the scrape in the stock, to the irons sights, they told stories about pencil pushers who had the lowest bidder build and supply them, and tales of the brave men who carried them, who weren't lucky enough to be issued a pencil.

It occurred to me that those men were really tough, like that scarred rifle stock, and if they didn't look like bad a$$es holding them, all the laser sights, fore grips and face paint weren't going to do it for me, even if it did terrify my cat. I set about to set it right. The road to recovery hasn't been easy, and I've had a few stumbling blocks (the sks is THE big one, especially Chinese ones) but thanks to books, and CGN, there is hope.

Now I know what you're thinking; it's just an sks! Ah yes, but the Lee Enfield, Mauser, Mosin, and even the M1 carbine have all suffered similar discourtesies. Don't let it happen. JUST SAY NO.
Friends don't let friends tacticool. Be supportive, be constructive, be educational, and if that fails, buy it, and make it right.

We don't have to stand by and accept it as the norm. It's wrong. Make it right again, there is still time. Every time a milsurp gets plastic, men like Lou the Poo cry a little. Actually, they probably sigh, crack a beer, and go back to gun room to fix the one that they are currently rescuing, but if they couldn't do that, they would cry. Manly, oily, beer flavoured tears. No sobbing though, that's for dewatts.

Jake
