SKS Cleaning

Whats the best way to clean the gas cylinder front bracket on my sks?The part where the gas escapes the barrel to hit the piston.
Would a bore brush be the best thing? An old toothbrush maybe? My rotten teenagers toothbrush??
Going to pick up my CZ 858 tomorrow,,,I feel like a little kid waiting for Santa Clause........only thing is
my Santa works at a gun store and is bald and skinny!!!

Thanks,I wonder how long it takes that guy to clean his rifle?? I know for me I shoot way too often to be going that hard on the cleaning.

I use an old C1 combo tool then I use automotive carburator cleaner and a tooth brush. Then a nice coating of CLP.

Well,if i shoot corrosive ammos, i pour boiling water in so the corrosive salts will be flushed away and the gas port too. After i use the brush from the sks cleaning kit and i finish by wraping a piece of clothe on the cleaning jag for final wipe. I never have problems yet doing that way. I only use the military cleaning kit,was made for that purpose, and i found that work quite well for me.
