SKS current value?

Maybe I'm wrong but that's 100% been refurbished at some point as far as i can see. The laminate stock and electro-penciled butt plate say that loud and clear. That said, it's a very nice rifle and doesn't look heavily refurbished. It should fetch higher end refurb prices i would expect.

I doubt more than $500. Clearly refurbished. The SN on the stock does not mean anything as to non refurb. And the weld on the mag and that butt plate, ouch.

All laminated ones are considered issued by me, the clearest mark on this one is the pencil marking on the butt. The stock has many dings which is unusual for a laminated one. I would value this one at $650 still if it would look as new (like really 90 to 100 % % bluing, properly pinned mag, full bluing everywhere inc the butt plate) with all numbers matching, Substract from there. Sorry for the bad news but I have been there and done that. There are around 700,000 SKS in Canada, no need to buy from a dealer with mostly undisclosed condition.

Like I said it was a while ago when they weren't that plentiful for a non Chinese one and he had good reviews, it wasn't an investment lol. Thanks for the info, I don't need or use it and just want to sell it for a fair price and not rip anyone off or gouge them.

It is a definite refurb but still maybe $500-600 I think. If I were buying I would offer less. But people are buying worse guns at pretty ridiculous prices these days so evidently there are people who would accept paying more as well.

Lots of pictures but none of the date or manufacturer… personally I value 50 & 51s slightly higher due to the spring loaded firing pin. I have had to replace firing pins on later years due to slam firing and they cost a non trivial amount from the US.

Ok ,thank you. I've seen prices all over the map but the consensus seems around 500. I'll go with that.
