Sks D barrel chop

I was thinking of shortening the barrel on my sks D and chopping off the bayonet and lug, then installing a paratrooper sight. How much would this reduce its value?

The value of an SKS-D depends solely on what the seller thinks its worth. They vary from on par with russian refurbs to outrageous amounts that no sane person would pay. If its good quality work than it shouldnt affect value but maybe reduce the scope of interested buyers a little.
