sks d gas tube/piston

Can some one give me the dimensions of the gas tube and piston on a d model. Just got a d on a deal without furniture or a gas tube or piston. Was just going to use a piston and tube from a regular sks for the d.

there is two size of gas tube length for a "D", the short version is about an inch shorter than the standard length, obviously you are looking for the shorter version .

since you have the "D" with you then best for you to measure the length of the space between the gas block and the rear sight , add 3/8" .

keep filing a bit off the back end till it fits.
