For you SKS-D guys, are any of you running Type 81 mags? Do they fit nice or need filing? Are they reliable in the SKS-D? I read an older post of an M+M employee saying the feed angle was different from standard AK mags but I'm not sure if that is true or he was making excuses for their M10X running unreliably. So, would you go with 81's or standard AK mags and why? Thanks.

While it would be nice to have a bolt hold open feature on the sks-d , seeing as we are neutered to 5 rounds ..... it's not a concern for me at all. The bolt hold open on the hinged , attached magazine models that are the most common in todays market is a nice feature to have so that loading from stripper clips is possible.
Be nice to see a newly manufactured SKS-D on the market but that is just me being wishfull.
I can see why the T-81 is popular. The cosmetics are pretty cool and some creature comforts exist that the SKS lacks but at the end of the day in a side by side shoot out, I will put my money on my sks
