SKS D magazine fitment issue

I just bought an SKS D with a bunch of magazines, one metal one and 4 magpul mags. The metal one fits great. I can't get to the magpul ones to lock on a closed bolt. Its almost like the rivet is at 5.4 rounds instead of 5.5 rounds. It is very close to fitting, if I open the bolt it locks in. If I load four rounds it locks in no problem.

My question is what part should I be filling or sanding down to make it fit and still function? I have debated filling down the lip on the back of the magazine but I am worried that will cause reliability issues. Does any one have an answer?

Well if you think they are pinned at 5.4 and not 5.5 then you realy can’t do anything except for maybe re pinning it.
Maybe try one buy filing that tab on the pmag. I switched to using kci metal mags now. They work awesome and are fairly cheep from irunguns

Thanks, I will try filling it down a bit. Good to know that the KCI mags work well.
