im searching for SKS-D mags to buy and marstar are out of stock and dont know when they`ll have another shipment :( someone know where they sell those?

not all that easy to find actually...when you find one expect to pay around $50, they come up now and then in the exchange forum thats where i got mine.

i cant see the exchange forum its private, the only place ive spoted was marstar but they are out of stock so anyway if someone know someone or a place where to buy you can send me over a message

Just click "User CP" at the upper left of your screen and then click "Group Memberships" at the bottom left of your screen. Then request to join the Equipment Exchange (EE) Fourm.

Do those duckbill mags for the regular SKS actually work? They look kind of iffy.

Not at all. I had two. One of them fell out the bottom of the gun after 4 or 5 rounds, landing on the feed lips (which are very very thin and soft sheet steel) bending them and rendering the mag useless. The other mag lasted 1 round and then commited suicide by falling out of the gun and landing on the feed lips. Felt kind of dumb having just spent 120 dollars to get 4 or 5 rounds downrange... Both mags were unrepairable. Stick with the internal fixed mag, or if you really want a big mag hanging out the bottom get an SKS-D and put up with its really slow reloads (the internal mag is waaaayyy faster to reload). Thats my $.02 :D

The guy at valleyguns.com was selling some 30-round SKS-D mags (pinned to 5-rounds, of course) they're located in his mags & gun parts section.

That's great. I can imagine telling a friend: "Ya the SKS seems like a good deal at about $140. But the cost of the mags will offset that at about $30/round"
