SKS-D sells at auction for $2300+

I sold an SKS D for $2100 a few months ago, so I'm really not surprised. I felt a little bit awful asking so much for a simple SKS D but new family and all that.

The Government is looking at adding detachable magazine SKS rifles to "the list".
So - is that the reason for the crazy prices? People want them now before they are banned? Or is it because there really is nothing else available right now to have fun with?

Not sure I care!
I should be getting rid of mine at those prices - does the MC5-D sell around the same value?

Havent been to an auction in many moons. Last one just left a bad taste, a gentleman bid on so much crap and was so smug. Literally bid everything over retail, including a sig mosquito. Cheered he had “won”
Now i see this, im sure that SKS D will be posted here or Goon Poster website for 2500.

Back in the 90s Lever Arms was selling SKS-D investor packs of 5 for $499.00.

I thought pffft! Yea. SKS Investor packs, my azz.

I stand corrected. Lol.

Whatever people are willing to pay defines the market.
Evidently there were several people interested in that gun so much they'd part with 2k+ for it.
I've closely watched the SKS D market recently, and the going price is genuinely ~2k now.
What they sold for years ago, even months ago is almost irrelevant.
If multiple people want one, have the money, and are willing to spend it... these are the auction results we see.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the SKS D selling for an average of $2500. in 6 months... if they're still available.
