SKS-D; SLOW reloading...

So, I'm having 2 problems when I try to reload this rifle. All equally deserving of a PITA sticker.

Problem 1 is the mags do not insert and seat properly...

Problem 2 is when I attempt to strip the mags out of the rifle, they stick. I know I'm depressing the mag-catch far enough for them to come out, but nothing! They stay put.

The rifle is BNIB. Apparently stored for 10 years, unfired. TAPCO T6 (old style w/out rails) stock installed. Picked her up 3 weeks, or so ago.. I thought the problem would go away with some breaking in-I was wrong.

So, fellas, ideas?

All help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

One problem I had with mine (mags not moving) was because the cheapo spares I bought had tangs that were too long. The part that the mag release contacted with was long enough to make them hang up in the rifle. A big-jesus file solved it in about ten minutes. What put me onto this problem was the mag it came with worked fine and I had it next to one of the poor ones

Yeah, it looks like thats the issue here. ONE mag seems to work flawlessly, and upon inspection, it looks like it found jesus( the file, you speak of). I'll get a file from crap-tire and report back.

And no calum, i believe she's afraid of strangers, and their cold safes. ;)
