SKS-D Trigger Group

Any of you folks with an SKS-d and a regular SKS able to tell me if the trigger group is interchangeable? I have a line on a project gun SKS-D that is without trigger group.

No the mounting lug is in a different location it's close but not quite

Damn, close enough to be adapted? I can't imagine there being much out there for spare trigger groups.

Depends on which sks-d you buy. There are 3 different types and one uses a standard trigger group with standard magazine release, not the AK style release. If you are working with the blade bayo version "made by xz" it will be a standard trigger group.

Haven't gotten it yet, but for little to no investment I have a chance at what's basically a barrelled action. The stock was smashed and I'll have to figure something out there, and the trigger group is AWOL. I don't exactly need another project but it's a small investment to play with. I was just hoping it would be relatively straight forward. I'll know more once I get to bring it home.

That will be a blade bayo version with the standard trigger/magazine released and not the AK style mag release. They had really blond stocks.

Has a very blonde stock, bayo is missing but the assembly is there and viable. Stamped on the receiver made by XZ. A donor SKS trigger group dropped in no problem. But will not accept a mag. It's as if the mag catch is too narrow. I will try and post some pics later. Frustrating so far. I'm hoping once I get it settled to install the sevensixtwosystems release to make it more of an AK style, but I need the magazines to lock in first.

They are touchy with mags. Accept the Chinese mags bit sometimes you have to pull the action back. Trial and error for me with the xz SKS-D model.

Thanks, does the trigger group look altered in any way with yours compared to a plain SKS? It looks like if I trim the front that sticks into the mag well a little and it should open it up to accept my magpul mags

For the record, it would appear it is not plug and play to install a standard trigger group. Currently a work in progress. If anyone could shoot me a picture or two of their trigger group that would be wonderful as I have to build something to make this work.
