SKS-D with hold open

So I was bored this weekend and figured I'd mod the ol' SKS-D some more. I used a few (broke a couple) 9/64 Cobalt drill bits to drill a hole in the bolt carrier handle and one of the rails. Then I put a spring around one of thoes clip pins from a CZ-858 and pushed it through the hole in the carrier handle untill it clipped into place. It won't hold open on the last shot but now I got a hold open so I can reload with stripper clips.

glad it worked out for you, why have a charging carrier if you cant charge?

dont you have another sks-d with a drum mag ? you gonna do to that one too? or use the same carrier for both.

This is the same SKS-D that I had the drum on. I just have another wooden stock that has the mag well section trimmed to accept a drum mag. I just switch the stocks when I use the 5/30 mags cause if I use them with the trimmed stock the whole set up looks DUUUUUUUMB
