Has the Norinco SKS-D with a detachable magazine been classified as prohibited ?

Don’t be surprised if it does get banned in a month or so, but at the moment it is not a banned firearm

The law has not changed. Unless it was deliberately named as a prohibited firearm, magazine fed firearms are still legal. Check armalytics.ca for reference...it is not a complete list but it is 99% there

Armalytics lags behind by a few weeks just fyi so it's not good for a confirmation

Last I heard it remains non prohibited ; but the recommendation has been made that any SKS with a detachable mag , including aftermarket , join the prohibited list . It is probably just a matter of time .

Short answer is no ; but it has been requested that all SKSs with detachable mags , factory or after market , be added to the prohibited list .
