Are these rare as I'm looking for one but can't seem to find one (that's unmolested,I prefer to do my own molesting). If memory serves me correct these had a removable magazine. also if I find one what would a ballpark price be? If I'm d:h: go easy on me I'm new to the sks world.

i sold my SKS-D collection early this year, the ones that didnt come with a bayo went for $425 and the ones with bayo sold for $475 .

you may get it for a bit cheaper , depending on the condition .

you will find them on EE .
 
They pop up on EE from time to time. Expect around $400-600 depending on condition.

You can also pick up a normal russian or chicom, take off the fixed magazine, and use Tapco detachable duckbill magazines. Not quite the same as an SKS-D, but close enough.
 
Thanks Jorkapp I didn't know I could use detachable mags on a regular sks any mods needed for that to work

I say just go for the real deal, they dont sit well at all in the wood stocks from my experince. I hear though they are designed to be used in the tapco stocks, which would make alot of sense. No mods, just dissasemble, and insert detchable 5/20 tapco magazine. But if your interested I got 2x for sale ;) (tapco mags) EMT only haha. I just "up graded" to an sks D and de-bastardized my sks.
