SKS Delux Walnut Stock

I'm mostly impressed by the trigger. There is almost no creep what so ever, and its very light for an sks. I'll be taking the trigger group apart soon as I get a chance. I'd like to look at the sear to see if its had a trigger job done.

Those look nice, I have been looking for a stock like that. The timbersmith just doesn't do it.

Thanks guys! IMO this is the best looking stock I've seen for an sks. But what I like most about it is how good it shoulders. If you're tall like me, you know how akward sks's are with the factory stock. It dosent feel as front heavy, and the lop is perfect for me.
I've had a few sks's in the past. But they never did it for me. I tried a tapco stock, it helped with the lop, but it didnt balance well, the stock was wobbly, and I just didnt like the look. And I'm not crazy about the timbersmith either.

Seeing this behind the display case got me excited about sks's again. Something about the walnut. I just had to have it.

I'm still curious about who built these stocks. And why you can't find them seperatly.
 
If you don't mind me asking, where did you purchase this SKS? I wouldn't mind picking one of these up.

Do a teardown yet ? There might be a name it makers mark on it somewhere....
 
Just talked with Frontier and they have 2 rifles left with the walnut stock. I asked about getting the stock by itself and it doesn't look like it's possible. If enough people expressed interest maybe getting the stock alone would be possible.

Did they mention who made them? The guy I was talking to yesterday, who brought them in, gave me the impression that they were imported with these stocks.

Yup, that is what I was told, they came from the vendor with the stock installed. Maybe the vendor would put out a run of stocks only with enough interest. I'd pay $150.00 for the stock if it was available.
 
I think I saw one of those at the crappy tire in cold lake a few weeks ago. Wasn't sure what I was looking at lol
The little monkeys were all too busy for me so I didn't get a chance to play with it. Made me sad especially seeing how nice it looks in proper light

That is a nice stock! Was at CT and saw the Timbersmith laminated one, but I'd rather have this one.

Edit, was just at the CT I go to and the Timbersmith laminated stock version is gone. Someone bought it for $349.

They on Russian or Chinese receivers?
Years ago 80's'/90's Century Arms was importing the Norinco Hunter which looked similar.
They also came with flush 5 round magazines.
Perhaps someone found a batch of leftover NOS (New Old Stock)?
Just guessing?
