Has anyone had success with the SKS/Dragunov conversion other than Mudpuppy? I'd LOVE to take this project on, but would definitely need a heavier and longer barrel

You should see the conversion the (IIRC) ''incorrigable'' made out of an svt dragunov clone. this thing looks 1:1 replica.

The unfortunate part is that what he did with the SVT seems waaaay out of my league. I have no welding/metal working/gunsmithing background and would likely butcher the project

OP, wasnt it you who owned a one of the first SVT-SVD conversions that was made by Kasat? what happened to it?
