I have an SKS that tears the rim off the case and leaves the empty in the chamber on the first shot. It only does it on the first shot of the day, after that it functions flawlessly for hundreds of rounds. It has never seen corrosive ammo. Any ideas?

My only thought is there may be excess oil in the chamber possibly causing the brass once expanded to be too tight in the chamber for proper extraction. I'm no expert so hopefully someone with more experience may chime in.

Had this hapen to me once. After i fet the spent cartage out i notied rust in the chamber. Cleaned the rust with a copper brush then a light oiling. After that i started using boiling water to clean my sks, no issues since.
