SKS/FAL Hybrid

That would be very interesting - I would assume the SKS retains it's serial number and designation - since the FAL lower isn't the gun, that must be an SKS. Actually the more I look at it, the more I like it.
 
It's legal... I've got about 3 years of conversations with the CFC and RCMP techs in Ottawa (the ones that actually inspect and play with the guns) and as long as the serial isn't altered, the mag capacity is not over 5 and one or two other things, you're ok. Bigger problem is getting everything to work. It isn't easy, I can tell you that.

Edit - to get it working properly, you'll need a lot of equipment. Also you have to be careful about warping and either softening or over hardening parts of the gun when stuff needs to be welded... long and the short of it, I had a metric ton of time on my hands, and I'm still working on the gun...


I am VERY interested in how he did that front sight/gas assembly.... that's the achilles heel of my design.
