SKS firing multiple rounds on one trigger pull!

The only time I had slamfires with my previous SKS was with commercial (as opposed to surplus) 7.62x39.

I had the same problem with my buddy's SKS after he asked me to clean it for him. I neglected to get all the cosmo out of the firing pin channel; once it was cleaned out it worked fine. I now give an SKS a little shake before I shoot it; you can hear the firing pin rattle just a bit if it is free in the channel. It may not be the problem, but I thought it would be worth mentioning.
