SKS firing pin replacement

I have a SKS '53 that I would like to swap firing pins to troubleshoot an issue. My question is will any firing pin from any SKS be interchangeable and work with any other SKS bolt?

There are differences between the years, any post 52/3' pin should work. I've mixed and matched before, but if you're looking to troubleshoot I'd stay within your year range.

Buy a spare, remove the present one and compare them

you cannot put the spring loaded pin in your 53, otherwise you can just put in whatever you can find. CHN or RUS i ve had no problem swapping them between.

Ok thank you everyone, I'll check those out. I also have a friend of mine who wants to replace his SKS firing pin, he also has a '53 model but il came with the spring loaded firing pin with the big tail. It looks like a '50 bolt. Would a Murray spring firing pin be a straight swap for that?

I have a few SKS'S with the spring loaded pin.
I have no desire to change them out with anything else.
Don't mess with a good thing.
