broke the firing pin on my sks dry firing, where can i get a new one?

Westrifle or Marstar (site sponsors) quite often have them.

Liberty Tree in the US has them as well, and they ship to Canada for most things, unless otherwise noted on the specific item usually. Maybe give them a call if you're not sure (I use Google Phone for calls to the US to save on LD charges).

Good catch... I mostly posted the Liberty Tree link because I was in the middle of relieving myself from some cash getting SMLE parts from them when I read that post.

Pretty certain Liberty Tree won't ship firing pins. They won't ship trigger springs or extractors for Mosins. Doesn't hurt to ask though...

Again, as opposed to every other form of telecommunication, exactly how is that different?

I'm not saying they don't hoover up everything they can from G and Y and Skype, etc. But they also do the same with standard Telco switching gear. If you're talking to someone over an electronic telecommunications device, odds are you're being recorded, and that the conversation is being electronically transcribed in real time, stored, and keyword searched. The technology to do this is pretty trivial at this point.
