SKS from Trade ex pics??

Anybody got any pics of a laminated SKS they got from Tradeex? Just ordered mine and wanted to get an idea of the quality of it...

Ask Anthony for some pics of your's. They're nice looking. I bought one a couple of weeks ago. Well pleased with it.

here is mine...
got it from Tradex at the end of last year.

and after I cleaned up that ugly russian reddish shellack gum...

looks and feels about 500% better now.
A really nice rifle, looks like brandnew and never issued. The bore is chrome lined, so no problems shooting the cheap stuff.

Did that paperwork come with the ammo?

that's not paperwork...that's how the ammo is packed in plastic bags.

Hey Polaris, I have a lam just like yours. May I ask you how did you take the shellac off the stock? What did you use.

0000steel wool and rubbing alcohol or paint thinner will remove the stuff.

I picked up a few laminated SKS's from Tradeex and both were as advertised in excellent condition. When Anthony says they are nice he means it.

Bought a Laminate just after christmas from Trade EX. Excellent condition. Another happy customer.

Polaris, did you top coat the stock with anything after you removed the red shellac ?? It looks nice and shiny !! Great job.

Yes I used True oil, best finish for any wood.
Actually it looks much better then on the pictures...

0000 Steel wool combined with alcohol or paint thinner will do the trick.

and yes, you want to remove the gummy stuff.

I would leave the original finish on the wood.
