SKS identification help

My number is 0111488 which is weird because it shows it as 1957 (6digit) but mine has 7 digits on the receiver. First digit is zero.

This gun seems to be a "ghost gun" and is in near unfired condition. Not sure because the spike bayonet was not introduced until 1964 - anyone seen this situation before?

I can’t speak to your particular rifle but I’ve had a real early Chinese sks at one time that had the spike bayo and a fresh stock which must have been put on at refurbishment. It happens/happened.

Not a ghost, late production due to the stamped trigger group and
other factors. The receiver appears to have been scrubbed..

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too I was confused about the really low serial number. It seems to be 1970ish ? Any explanation for the low serial number?

It may have been renumbered for importation to the U.S. who knows ?
It's possible the barreled receiver was swapped.
BTW. what camera did you use? If you click on the receiver pic two or
three times you can blow up the pic and see the sanding marks

What do the sanding marks indicate? If it was renumbered wouldn't there be some evidence of the old numbers? I just found out it was bought from marstar in 2011 for $199.

If a new(spare parts) receiver was replaced or the original was scrubbed
it would not have the factory code or the type 56 Chinese characters.

I see, but this gun is all numbers matching, so did they use a scrubbed receiver and all other new parts to create this gun? I still don't understand the serial number being so low but I guess it doesn't matter cause it not military?

It is very difficult to find out a year of production for the typical Type 56 military issue Chinese SKS's. Even more difficult it is for a commercially issued Chinese SKS. You can educate yourself a bit if you read this: When was my Chinese Type 56 SKS made? https://sks-files.com/index.php?topic=360.0
You can also read these here: http://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=26665
Perhaps you could find something tangible on your SKS.
