SKS in 223/556

Nice work, but I can guarantee you that you will pierce the primers on the .223 rounds. The standard SKS firing pin is HUGE and the diameter needs to be reduced along with the firing pin hole on the bolt needs to be sleeved
thought the same that it will need firing pin bushed ,but it seems ok with it as is ,just ugly
gathered up a few random out of the snow
did not try hunting ammo but I think those may/will have issues
just wanted something to go through the metal cased cheap ammo I have on hand that was supposed to be used in AR

Nice! I thought they’d be pierced/blown for sure. I know the guy that did the 5.45 conversion had problems with pierced/blown primers, and I also had that problem when I converted an SKS to 7.62nato haha

up date
got a SKS locally for (600) came mag wedge ,transferred all the parts over to the 223W action
went to fire test the adaptor fell out plastic Tapco mag catch milled an aluminum out last nite
tested again 2 stove pipes mag related as mag was tweaked for the TNA .Fresh mag IMG_0096.jpegtweeked fired 20 for function
then 20 more to see where it hits at 44 yards ,did not want to walk into snow bank so did it standing
