Don't see too much of the SKS in film these days, but this Chinese movie shows their border war with the Vietnamese in '79. Lots of Type 56 Carbines and T56 Assault Rifles. In CQB you def want the 30 round full automatic of the Kalashnikov vs the 10 round stripper clips, no time to reload.

In the Owen Wilson movie, No Escape, I recall at least one of the bad guys carries an SKS. It got a decent amount of screen time. It's the only reason I remember that movie haha.

You can also see some short scenes of them intermittently in the movie We Were Soldiers.

I wonder if they really used flame thrower? In the film it looks great seeing soldiers getting BBQ but really how effective is it?

So your hunkered down in your hardened fox hole , you got bullets zipping by , exploding ordinance falling here and there and your holding tight ! Then off in the distance you hear a strange howling woosh then followed by screams ( like you haven't heard before ) so you peek up only to see a flash of a blackened flaming fire ball hit one of the positions on your line!! Then more of that Horrific screaming and flaming Silhouettes of your brohers as they they try and Escape the all Engulfing fire storm ! And guess What ! Its getting closer won't be long and your up next !
Just another day at the office ? So tell me what going threw your head ,you were trained for bullets and Explosions but they never explained how to handle this . More of that howling and screaming in the back ground and now you can smell it . (flame throwers and fire has been used in war for centurys ) .
Portable flame throwers are a nasty tool of war even for those that use them .

The Green Berets. You can spot them briefly in a couple places in the trailer, generally used pretty widely throughout the film.
