Hey guys
Stopped in my local gun store. Triggers and Bows in Burford ont.
Got this for the kids. K
ids tell me its not a laminate stock?
Kids also say its not a chrome bore?

In the SKS sticky says Laminate stock should be straight here on the stock?

I dont really care cause they let me have it for $189.

Yes it's a laminated stock and as for the chrome bore , usually 1950 don't have chrome bore but yours look like an heavy refurb so there's good change that the barrel have been change.

I looked at her last week... It did look refurbed in a bunch of different ways. Clean rifle though~!

Yes laminate think of plywood and you will understand laminate.
If you give it a good cleaning then look at the muzzel end. If it is chrome lined, you will see a silver ring at the end of the barrel as chrome doesn't take the blue or park finish.
It's pretty bad in this day and age where the kids do actually know more than we do. But they may be half right. Check http://www.yooperj.com/SKS.htm
as the chrome lining started in 1951. So if the barrel is original it's not chrome lined.

Either way, a good cleaning very quickely after shooting is in order. $189 is about right for price. Now you just need a crate of ammo to feed it.
