Hi all, my buddy was at the range the other day with his SKs and it would fire one or two rounds and then jam. He was using FMJ with steel casings. The top of the casing had marks in it ,not sure what they were . Then I found an empty casing and the rim was torn. It is his ejector causing the problem ? Or does it need a really good cleaning ?

If the chamber is dirty then the fired case may be getting stuck after it has swelled (during firing) and when the bolt tries to extract it it's tough getting it out. If that's the case then it might not eject soon enough/ strongly enough to clear the bolt when it goes to close again. Sounds like he needs to give the chamber a good scrubbing would be my guess.
