Sks mag opening during firing

Hey all

Took the sks out this past weekend, when I started to fire, the original mag opens and drops the cartridges out, first time that it has done this.

I had a baer arms pinned 30 round in there, but put the factory back in last weekend

Any ideas?

Make sure the front of the mag where it hooks in under the barrel band is seated properly. It sometimes may seem to be but it can cause this if not seated in properly.

Yes..it's like tetris you have to make sure the mag is seated in the front cleat and that had to be done before the trigger group was installed. you will have to pull the trigger group, reseat the mag, then reinstall the trigger group.
