Ive seen the extended mag releases that make the part you wrap your finger around stick out farther, but are there mag releases that move the position of the lever closer to the trigger guard? Im not sure If I am explaining my question properly...

nah, the tapco ones only extend the surface area your finger makes contact with. I am asking if there are any available that actually extend that surface closer towards the trigger guard. imagine on a tapco stock... you wouldnt want to have to take your hand off the pistol grip to release the old magazine... so one that extends closer to the trigger guard would make a mag change faster. Tapco sucks... there are so many things that should have been made differently. IE the tapco mags and those ridiculous duckbills. why not make a stock that already assumes you are going to use the magazines they sell for it... instead of that s**tty internal mag. and why wouldnt they incorporate a rail system that actually works? VLTOR got it right when they made the stock for the m1a and the quadrail for the socom II... I wish VLTOR made a stock for the SKS... that would be pimp... or a buttstock that is inline with the barrel??? and you cant say because then you couldnt use the original irons because if you are gonna swap the stock and modernize it then assume the buyer wants to go all the way ad upgrade the sights too or make a stock where the elevation of the buttstock is adjustable again the vltor... there would be a huge market for people that want a better stock then those ####ty tapco ones... The old argument is that no one wants to buy a $400 stock for a $200 gun but thats ridiculous, buying a cheap rifle now and upgrading it later is exactly the mentality of the zombie survivalists. the zombie apocalypse could happen tomorrow and every day it doesnt you add to your rifle but atleast for now you have something. just saying... they should make an extended mag release that moves the contact point closer to the trigger guard. how tapco managed to not figure that out escapes me.

A company in the US called Truly Tactical makes one. They cost about $50... this is what it looks like:

Replaces the factory part directly and works EXCELLENT. I started with the tapco extended release and it was junk. Didnt fit tight and did not operate smoothly. This one from truly tactical works exactly as expected and holds my mags in super tight. Well worth it, but hard to get in canada.
