I cant seem to be able to push the sight down far enough to be able to pull it out. Any suggestions?

Use a C-Clamp.

Look up the instruction video for the BC Tactical scout mount, in the video the clamp method is described in detail.

The BC Tactical video I seen states them not getting into how to remove the sight because of all the different types.

Crap, sorry. I forgot about that. I looked up a separate vid for the rear sight removal. I'll try to find it and post a link. In the meantime, here's the plain text version: use a rag to protect the finish, apply C-clamp to the center of the sight, and apply small increments of pressure. Once the gap at the front of the sight is large enough to fit in a flathead screwdriver, insert it and carefully but firmly pry out the sight and the spring underneath will pop out with it.

Guy doesn't use the clamp and you can see by how he's shaking how much more of a PITA it is. Use the clamp.

In this case the spring needed to be removed. This didn't happen to me. After using the clamp, the entire sight sinks a couple of millimeters, and once I pried it out with a flathead, the whole enchilada popped out. Hope that helps.

just removed my rear sight on my chinese military sks the other day.
There is a pin you have to punch out before removal. You have to use a small pin punch to get it out. Push it from left side to right. Once you get it out then you can push the sight down and remove (without a clamp) but it is stubborn.

The bits of mine flew away never to be found again when it finally gave, so if you need the spring for the future keep a close eye on it.

You are correct sir I had to push out this tiny pin with a finish nail. After that I just C-Clamped it and gave a little push with a flat head and out it came.

Thank you very much guys.
