Regular fixed mag version is better. However, some if the new norincos suck, buy one with a threaded on barrel not the pinned one if you have the choice.
Can you post some prices? I live on the other side of London, and it maybe worth the drive to save shipping costs. (And stay the night at wheels inn to keep the wife and kids happy)
Yeah i know i was very surprised that he was still selling them.
They get a lot of their stock from Davidsons in alberta.
I just got off the phone and apparently they will bring in more
or less whatever you want. He told me if its a rifle and allowed in canada they can probably get it and be competative.
I asked about the SKS's and i should get an answer tomorrow.
If you want to check things out for yourself the owners name is
Bill and he can be contacted at 519-683-4363
Another reason to come to chatham is the Cloverleaf club.

I have the sks-D model. No problems with the factory mags. I did however have to dremel my 5-30 round mag which was not working. It works great now. But as far as the sks goes I purchased it about three years ago. Never had a problem.
The "D" model doesn't hold open after the last round. In fact there doesn't seem to be any way to hold the action open without pulling it back and holding it there manually. Pain in the ass to insert the magazine with the other hand. I've never been able to insert the magazine properly with the action closed. I get the "click when it should have gone boom" effect. Any advice?
