So I took my new para SKS to a field out back of the farm. My rig has the Choate mount with the awesome TRS-25 mounted. After a quick degrease and light oil ( with Slip 2000, the best CLP made), it was "trigger time"!!! I was shooting Hornady factory 123gr SST ammo. Took four rounds to get zeroed, then 50 long paces back i got prone and fired two groups of three rounds. Both were right under 1.5 inches, hitting about one inch low. The trigger is typical SKS, and I am sure that with use it will get less "crunchy". We are restricted to seven rounds max on semi autos- and my stripper clips worked perfectly. The TRS 25 is excellent, I had it set at "8" and the dot was easy to see in the very bright setting sun. The rifle stock has some nice grain, with a reddish stain. Some dings and marks, but good condition. The bolt and magazine do not match with the receiver serial number but that is no problem. What a kick ass rig. I am off to engage and neutralize feral goats this weekend. Double taps will be the fire drill....
