Does any one know of a canadian dealer who sells norinco 16.5inch barrel sks paratroopers I imagine they are restricted but are they? any one have one? how do you like it? thanks

Semi-auto with a less than 18.5" barrel. Restricted. And I suspect is a marketing thing.

Have yet to actually see one in canada...CS was advertising one on their site for a while but the pictures depicted a regular length rifle even though the blurb denoted a restricted...they may still have it, I think I saw it listed in Access to firearms last month...give em a call

Strictly a civvy market gimmick. No such thing used by the PLA.

because i like sks rifles and would like a sks carbine better before any one mentions it barrel length only effects muzzel velocity not accuracy

Weren't the SKS carbines made by Navy Arms. There was an article on them in Swat Magazine something like 10 years ago.

Modified in China for Navy Arms. Various carbines like the "Cowboy's Companion" and "Paratrooper" Navy also designed the trigger assembly box mag release for the first "D" models which were produced for them in China.
