SKS Partial "Diamond" Refurb Mark

I bought a refurb SKS last weekend and considered returning it due to the "scratch" on the receiver cover. On closer inspection, and on comparison with another I have, it's a refurb mark that's not complete.

It's similar to this guy's, but not as complete:

How common is this?
Look like a faint diamond stamp, never seen this before. Could you post pic of your?

As said, looks like a very faint or partial stamp, or maybe someone dropped something on it. Either way, it has no relevance to the value or the way that it shoots. Lots of guns got scratches and marks, it doesn't mean anything.

Here's the one on one of my guns - I also have a Tula that's very similar. Clearly a refurb mark that was not done very carefully. I imagine there are others, I had just not read of it.

It is deeply struck a little more than normal, but still normal. I'm gonna guess STK#701 from westrifle? If that's the one, looks to be a nice rifle.

Not uncommon. Hard to stamp a diamond on a rounded surface with a worn out die when you're half snapped with cheap vodka. I have a couple with the same mark.
