SKS Peep Sight Installation Help

I am wanting to buy a peep sight for my SKS, but before I do that, what size of a pin punch do I need to get out the tiny pin holding the factory rear sight in place? Thanks for any help.

well 1/16 fits in there... I'm not sure how to disassemble the rear so I'm not hammering in it

There's plenty of youtube vids to help me there, just no one on youtube gave any info on what pin punch was needed. Thanks for the help.

Obviously using metric punches would be more advisable.. I only have SAE, hence this imperial nonsense

I had to re-read it twice to get it.

I put in a national match grade on my sks, i get 1 HOA

Some of the sights do have a small pin that needs to be punched out before you can remove the rear sight. It's a tiny pin through the mount tabs. I don't remember the size... try the punch in the tool kit.
