SKS Predictions???

Yeah I believe it was a biased report. I would not doubt if the Liberals got rid of handguns and most rifles. They will look at the Japanese and European gun crimes and compare them to Canada.

More like all firearms, including the ones that are not firearms, air rifles, paint ball guns, air soft ect.
Then all the phuckin liberals can go :jerkit: over their gun ban masterpiece while crime rates sore and canadians are left defenseless like the british.

Now as for the SKS value Increaseing... I doubt it. I think they will most likely stay around the same value they are now, parts will wither away and ammunition will become scarce.

If the U.N gets its way, no new ones will be imported nore will parts.
If we get our way and the long gun registry meets its demise, well the liberals wont know where they are when they ban them.
Mine will likely "go missing".

i paid $64.50 for my norinco about '94?ish,i could probably get my money back not to mention the tons of fun ive had burning many $99 cases through it. I dont really care about value increases, but ive spent way more on accessories than the gun will ever be worth, I just hope they never ban them

who knows, consider that in the 1980's, chinese sks' sold for more than russian ones.

i do recall leverarms selling SKS for over $100 in the 80s , what were they? chinese ? if so then it mean the price came lower in the 90s.
i was gonna buy one but old alan was in a bad mood that day so i said screw it, dont need one that bad.

In the USA, the SKS is very common in crimes. It is a leading killer of police as well. I would not be suprised if it along with others get banned.

That is sh*t, the SKS does not kill police any more than 767's kill buildings, criminals kill police, and would regardless of the available tools - let's not pander to the anti-crowd.

One of my personal heroes is the guy in Ontario who reported that he had "misplaced" a full auto (registered) Bren gun and MAC-10, less than a month after he had registered them under the new system. Can't you just see that one - "I dunno officer, last time I saw the Bren it was on the coffee table, then it wasn't - and the MAC 10 was on the Lazy Boy, but I've checked and it isn't between the cushions, so I dunno where it could be" :D

Where did you get that little tidbit from? According to the U.S. Department of Justice, less than 2% of criminals who use firearms use any Military style semi-automatic firearm. Your information appears to be taken directly from the website of the Violence Policy Center which is not a particularly reliable source for accurate information on firearms. May want to rethink this one a bit.

But they never look at the overall crime rates, just at the gun crimes. Of course the gc will be higher in a country that allows guns. Big question, do overall crime rates drop? Answer. No. Just look at Britain and Australia. Britain's violent crime rate has been going up since they banned guns, is now higher than in the US and is still rising.
