I was at the range today with my new refurb 1950 Tula and for some reason the firing pin wasn't striking the primers very hard causing no ignition of the round. I have disassembled the firing pin assembly and cleaned it thoroughly prior to going out. Also, sometimes the tigger would not pull even with a round chambered.

Any guesses what might be the issue with it?

Please help!

seen this once with one of mine, the groove on the firing pin "that the firing pin retaining pin sits in" is not long enough. I solve it by filing it abit longer.

You can check it be pushing on your firing pin and looking to see how much of the pin sticks out.

I think that the firing pin extends normally, but the trigger is not striking the it with enough of a hit to extend the firing pin all the way. I was wondering if there is something wrong with the trigger group. What could be the issue in the trigger group?

Could be a weak or broken hammer spring. Is the hamer releasing forsure when you have these problem?
