Hey guys I bought a metal Promag magazine recently and I'm having an issue with it. I called the shop I bought it from and they said its normal but I disagree. So I figured id come on here and see what others thought who have this mag. Now a caveat is, I did pull off the bottom door of the magazine that holds the spring in and it did spring out quite far so im not sure if that messed up how the follower sits or not because of the rivet. In my opinion the follower shouldn't be above the lip of the magazine, and the follower looks real crooked. My other question is, can these magazines be fed with stripper clips well. It's been sent off to cerakoat so I can't test that right now. Please comment below and let me know if this is normal or what.

Wow that mag looked really sketchy. I guess that's the reason people buy tapco polymer mags. I've used promag 5 round polymer mags they worked well for me.

For stripper clips, I think most of the aftermarket mags needs to have the case retainer lips relieved at back to work decently.

That does not look right at all. I had 2 and sold, prefer Tapcos.

I would Google and look for pics and compare then tell the store, looks like they are sitting way too high.

I own a few of the same metal promags as you. Just checked them in comparison and your follower is sitting higher and crooked compared to the both of mine. The magazine followers are below the lip of the magazine on mine. Dont know about stripper clip feeding as I use a rail. Both magazines have fed hundreds of rounds without any hangups I can remember

Thanks guys for the responses. Ill be giving promag a call and see what's up. The spring was never taken out of the mag body so unless it came from the factory like that. Ill Let you know what I find.
