I recently ordered another SKS. This one is a Norinco. The pictures that were sent were very good and from many angles. From the serial numbers it is a PLA from 1980 with the bakelite handguard. My question is, did some of the 1980s have threaded barrels? Reason i ask is because in the pictures it really looks like it has a short barrel lug.
 
Got the gun in. It is a 1980 with a short lug treaded barrel plus a milled reciever. I am pleasently surprised. I was expecting a pinned barrel and a stamped reciever. Looks like arsenal 26 is the only one who made them this way.
