Hello,
I recently purchased a Chinese SKS from Marstar and have been doing some reading up on it while waiting for it to arrive.
One question I cannot find answered is; If I were to sight in 100 yards with the rear sight set at 100, how close to 200, 300 will that generally get me by moving the rear sight to the 200/300 setting accordingly? Has anyone tested this out? I know its not a long distance rifle but are the yardage increments on the rear sights fairly close, not that great or varies from gun to gun?

Hopefully someone understands that.

I set my sks to 100 and found the sight to be adequate when flipped to 200. I was hitting a 9 inch paper plate no problem. 300 wasn't great though. But that could just be me.

Personally I find the sights a little too crude to push past 200 yards. I'm a little too scattered to be comfortable shooting that distance (e.g. 1/3 of my shots at a 12" plate hit). I have a feeling it's my eyes and not the gun's fault though!
